REVIEW: Johnny Air Cargo Padala

Have you ever wanted to buy something from the US but got no one to bring it home to Manila? Gone are the days where we have to wait for the balikbayan boxes that takes a month of two before it arrives in the Philippines. So what do I personally use if I need some items to arrive as soon as possible? Johnny Air Padala.

Johnny Air Cargo Retail Padala makes online shopping fun for everyone. You shop, they ship and send items to the Philippines.

I've tried their retail padala service a couple of times already and my items usually arrive after 2 weeks upon confirmation of my order online. One of my recents purchases came from B&H Photo Video.

B&H is my go-to-source for camera accessories and whatnot. Definitely a recommended site apart from Amazon.

Johnny Air has 3 shipping addresses all over the US and one of them is in New York. My contact person is Analyn Diego, for inquiries you may send her an email at analynd@aol.com.

My order left the US on November 21, 2014 and was ready for pickup at the Johnny Air office in Legaspi Village, Makati by December 1, 2014.

I asked Analyn if it will arrive on or before December 5 because I needed to use those accessories for an out of town trip to Mt. Pulag scheduled on December 6 (but was cancelled and moved to January 7, 2015). Normally it takes 7-10 working days but Analyn told me to expect delays because they're also affected by the air cargo traffic in the metro. I paid roughly around ₱900-950 for my package that weighed more or less 2 lbs. I didn't mind paying the cost of shipping because that rate is still cheaper compared to other couriers like FedEx, UPS or DHL. Bonus pa na my items arrived earlier than expected so mas ok di ba? ;)

There are other companies that offer the same service but Johnny Air will always be a favorite because tried and tested naman talaga yung service nila. How about you Fasyonistas? Got any recommendations for other air cargo padala services? How was your experience? Share your thoughts now in the comments below! ;)

    1. Hi J Alfred! :)

Pick up process was a breeze. I presented my valid ID together with my payment. Whole process took less than 10 minutes.

    1. Hi Paolo. Yes safe but with regards dun sa payment mo, medyo mataas din siguro sisingilin niyan for import tax. But if di naman issue sayo ang budget, dont worry safe na safe ang item mo with them. :)
